Alaska 2-1-1
A free, confidential service by United Way of Alaska that connects you with health and human services resources across the state. Dial 2-1-1 for assistance. If your phone can not call that number, please hang up and dial 1-800-478-2221.
Alaska Division of Public Assistance
Learn about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as food stamps, and other benefits.
Alaska WIC Program
Provides healthy food, nutrition education, and support for women, infants, and children.

Alaska Family Services
Offers support services for families, including food assistance, behavioral health, and shelter for those in crisis.
Salvation Army Alaska Division
Provides food, shelter, and emergency assistance across the state.

These programs help ensure children and families have access to nutritious meals.
Free 2025 Summer Meals for Kids
No registration or paperwork required—just stop by and enjoy a nutritious meal! Locations and times will be available closer to summer.
- Anchorage School District – Check the ASD website in May for updates on participating locations
- Mat-Su School District – Check back this May for participating locations
- Meals to You (Rural Alaska) – Provides weekly food boxes to eligible students in participating school districts during the summer
The Children’s Lunchbox, a Program of Bean's Cafe (Anchorage)
This program provides grab-and-go meal boxes across Anchorage. View their website for Pantry Pack distribution sites (open to anyone) and participating schools and programs serving enrolled students.
Home Food Delivery & Emergency Assistance
If you need help getting food to your home, these organizations may be able to assist.
Friends in Serving Humanity (F.I.S.H.)
Provides food delivery assistance in Anchorage. Call 907-277-0818 for help.
New Hope Compassionate Ministries
Weekly food delivery for individuals who are elderly, disabled, homebound, ill, or facing temporary hardship that prevents them from attending the weekly food market. Call 907-274-4673 on Wednesdays between 9am–1pm. Calls outside this window will not be returned, and you must speak with someone directly to confirm.
