Office & IT Manager
This is a full-time, non exempt position that reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

The Office and IT Manager oversees the day-to-day administrative operations and ensures the smooth functioning of Food Bank of Alaska. This position plays a key role in managing office logistics, supporting staff, and maintaining a productive and welcoming environment that aligns with our mission.
Essential Job Duties
- Oversee general office operations, including managing office supplies, equipment, and facilities.
- This includes copiers, printers, postage meters, and the phone system.
- Maintain accurate records and files, including vendor and employee information.
- Coordinate and support organizational meetings, events, and activities.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Support HR processes such as onboarding new employees and maintaining personnel files.
- Assist with technology needs, coordinating IT services and troubleshooting minor issues.
- Act as the SPOC (Single Point of Contact) with Food Bank of Alaska's IT contractor and Internet Service Provider.
- Coordinate, troubleshoot, and prioritize all IT issues, and communicate them to the IT firm.
- Follow up to ensure that issues are brought to a satisfactory solution.
- Ensure required maintenance is performed on all network components and peripherals, including laptops.
- Train and support staff and volunteers in the use of our existing hardware and software programs.
- Ensure that the common area, the offices, the kitchen and bathrooms are kept clean and neat by the office staff.
- Ensure that kitchens and bathrooms are adequately stocked, and clean.
- Act as single point of contact for Janitorial contractor.
- Monitor shredding and recycling needs and ensure that these are taken care of on a regular basis.
- Manage distribution of Food Bank of Alaska's interior and exterior building keys, maintaining list of everyone who has keys, including outside contractors.
- Manage distribution and collection of driver fuel cards and staff credit cards.
- Provide administrative support to leadership as needed.
- Cross train on the duties of the Accountant and assist with duties as necessary.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business administration, management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in office management, preferably in a non-profit or mission-driven environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and familiarity with database systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of basic budgeting and accounting principles is a plus.
- A passion for non-profit work and a commitment to the organization’s mission.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
