Warehouse Associate


The Warehouse Associate position will provide daily support to the warehouse operations department participating in order selection, receiving incoming freight, loading & unloading freight vans and company vehicles. Daily cleaning assignments, inventory counts, safe forklift & motorized jack operation. Provide quality and friendly service to agencies and vendors by following organizational standards. Upholding a predetermined quality-controlled standard of orders leaving the warehouse all while upholding safe practices in the workplace. The Warehouse Assistant reports directly to the Warehouse Manager for assignments.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Ensure quality control.
  • Order selection.
  • Provide bypass & priority mail support as needed.
  • Assist with the agency desk when needed.
  • Ensure excellent customer service to agencies.
  • Be prompt, friendly, welcoming and courteous always.
  • Assist drivers with loading & unloading of new incoming or outgoing product.
  • Provide inventory control, including cycle counts, rack tagging.
  • Daily cleaning of shopping areas including cooler and freezer.
  • Assist in maintaining good warehouse sanitation standards, repackaging room & bathrooms.
  • Assist with major events including warehouse donor tours.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Friendly, outgoing, dependable, consistent team player willing to help wherever it is needed.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Good interpersonal and public relations skills.
  • Good basic math skills.
  • Minimum one year computer experience in MS applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy warehouse environment with heavy foot traffic.
  • Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs, hold and manipulate cans and boxes and bags not to exceed 50 lbs.
