Organize a Food Drive

You can make a significant impact in your community by organizing a food drive to keep Food Bank of Alaska’s shelves stocked with nutritious foods. Food drives are essential year-round, especially during spring and summer when donations tend to be lower. Follow these steps to plan and host a successful food drive:

Plan Your Food Drive

We only accept non-perishable food donations from food drives. Please review our healthy donation list for ideas on what we need most.

Register Your Drive

Let us know about your food drive by filling out our registration form. Your registration helps us coordinate and support your efforts. We provide red-branded food drive barrels for your event. Indicate the number you need when submitting the form. Please remember, the food drive host is responsible for picking up and dropping off the barrels along with the collected food.

Promote Your Drive

Utilize our food drive flyer to share specific information about your event.

Hold Your Food Drive

Involve your family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors in your food drive. Every 1.2 pounds of food you collect provides a meal for one person. Monetary donations are also welcome; every $1 helps us distribute 3 meals

Deliver Your Donations

Drop off your donations at Food Bank of Alaska’s Warehouse, Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm. Delivering your food helps maximize the value of your donation and supports our efforts in collecting and distributing food through our Mobile Food Pantry program.

Your efforts in organizing a food drive play a crucial role in fighting hunger and supporting our community. Thank you for your dedication and generosity.
