The Kenai Peninsula Food Bank is hiring an Executive Director to work in our Soldotna, Alaska office. The Executive Director is the chief administrative and development officer of the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for the management of the staff and resources of the organization.

The person in this position will be the voice of the food bank and lead the organization in accordance with the strategic plan and direction of the board. Along with general business skills, this person will be compassionate, organized, experienced, and have the abilities to lead this organization to the future.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Non-profit management, or in a related field.
• The equivalent in work experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Demonstrated experience in:
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Budget development
  • Successful grant writing experience
  • Knowledge of public and private funding sources
  • Proficiency in the use of computers
• Ability to pass a State-required background check.
