Meet Teresita

“I was working over at the Post Office. I’ve been there 20-something years, and I got diagnosed with cancer in 2011. From there, I’ve been struggling. . .believe me, I’d be out there working if they would let me go back.” The sudden loss of a job, a shrinking pension, or an unexpected medical emergency are all circumstances that many hungry Alaskans, like Teresita, have faced. With your support Food Bank of Alaska, the Bristol Bay Food Pantry and our statewide network of over 300 food pantries, soup kitchens, senior centers and other programs help struggling Alaskans feed their families, stabilize their lives and get back on their feet.
