$1 Billion to Hunger Relief

After tireless efforts of those in the anti-hunger community, the United States Department of Agriculture has set aside $1 billion for hunger relief efforts! Included in these funds are allocations for the following:

  • $500 million for The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)
  • $400 million to states to aid the purchase of local and regional foods for distribution
  • $100 million to improve capacity and infrastructure for organizations that conduct last mile distributions
